Got my hurr did :o)

Hello lovies!

So today I got my hair highlighted & lowlighted! I haven't had my hair done since November... gasp. I know, I know, I'm terrible with maintance but I'm a natural blonde so I can get away with it for awhile. I usually wait a really long time which is so bad, haha. My re-growth bugged me so I went and had my hair done. I adore my hairdresser, she does really great work and she always understands what I'm trying to say even when I don't. Anywho, this is a bit darker for me.. I'm usually a very light blonde and lately I've been craving a medium toned blonde instead so that's what I went with today. I'll probably add a bit of thinner highlights once the summer comes and then leave my hair alone for a while. I included pics at the very bottom of me being an uber blonde. I want to be that weight again, aurgh.

So yeah, new hurrr pics!

This is a lot darker for me. My ends used to be so blonde and she pulled a darker lowlight through. I like it though.

Today Burned came out!

It's the 7th book in the series and I'm about to go out and grab mine now :o)

(I called a few days ago and had it put aside.. such a dork)

I also had the 7th (or 8th.. I think the 7th though) book of The Vampire Diaries put aside. It's the 2nd of The Returned grouping. If you've seen the show and hated it, just take my word and read the books because they are WAY better. I can't even tell you how much better they are.. just take my word.

So yes, today is going to be a great day of reading for me!

YSL Sensual Silk

I just wanted to show you all some swatches of the YSL Rouge Volupte L/S in #2. I haven't properly worn this yet so I can't necessarily do a review but I figured I'd show you some swatches.

AC Haul

So last night we went and did a little shopping in AC!

It was really nice but the mall's hours online were wrong - ugh. It actually closed 2 hours earlier than it said online, so once Zach and I got done with our workshop, we went right to his sister's and then ran there.

I didn't want to spend tons of money so I'm quite proud of myself, haha. So here's what I bought!

First we went to Lush.

Holy jeebus... there was so much stuff there...

It was quite overwhelming, hah.

I had a really hard time picking between things for whatever reason so I ended up with:

I got the cream candy bubble bar, 2 Dreamtime Bathmelts which are going to my mama dukes as a part of her Mother Day's stuff, a piece of the Godmother Soap, and the Bubblegum Lip Scrub.

The only thing I'm not sure I'm in love with is the Bubblegum Lip Scrub. The only reason I'm saying this is because when you smell it in the jar it's like wooooah but when you put it on it's not overwhelming at all. I really wanted the Mint one but it smelt too much like a thin mint cookie for my liking. All of that came to like $40 bucks so not bad! Next time, I'm most def getting the Blondie Shampoo & the Mmm Marshmallow bathmelt thing.

Next I went to the Cos Bar which carries all high-end cosmetics. Such a total tease to say the least, haha. I do not have the mula for that stuff but as I said in my post the other day there was a few things I wanted. I definitely wanted Ondine from NARS but they didn't have it in and Mekong reminded me of the dark color in my Pleasures of Paris palette so I decided it was a no no. In the end I went with the YSL lipstick.

I caved and bought the YSL Rough Volupte in #2 (Sensual Silk).

It's a gorg pinky-nude. I'm thinking it may be a bit too light for me right now but once summer comes and I get a teensy bit of color I think it will look good.

The lipstick was a hefty $36 dollars and change.

I'm going to hopefully NOT be shopping anymore for the next few weeks and that way I won't feel so bad about spending all that money on a lipstick. The packaging is just so pretty damnit, hahaha. We also did a bit of gambling and ate a HUGE meal that was so freaking yummy. Today we have one more workshop and then we're driving home. Merrr.

Broadway Workshop

Just a quick update!!!

I'm staying down near Atlantic City for the weekend for a Broadway workshop and Zach's sister lives like... 10 minutes from Caesar's Pier which has tons of stores and one of them is.... *drum roll please*

LUSH!!!

I'm wicked excited to finally go to one of their stores. I've compiled a want list already (I'm such a dork hahaha) & I'm so pumped to go and pick through everything.

SO excited.

They also have a MAC, Betsey Johnson, and a Cos Bar which has NARS, YSL, etc.

I don't want to spend tons of money but I am going to enjoy my first trip to AC !!!

Maybe I'll gamble too lol..

BTW, sorry for not posting recently. Getting ready for this workshop has taken a bit more time than I expected. I've had a lot to purchase and find, etc. But maybe I'll do a little haul post tomorrow.

Hey all!

So I was in a big rush this morning and did a smokey eye while driving -- more like at red lights, ha. No worries I didn't actually DRIVE and do my make-up.

Anywho this is just a picture of my eyes b/c my skin is having a mind of it's own lately (ugh). I rarely have problems with my skin but when it flares up, it really flares up. I was also curious about how people put their names on their pictures so no one can steal them. Do any of you do that? Do you think it's wise?

This look is messy so I doubt people would steal it hahaha but I mean other pictures.

Anywho, onto the eyes.

This week I'll be uploading a review of a Barry M product I received in a swap.

Also a small haul from this evening will go up tomorrow.

For whatever reason whenever I re-size the pictures they look weird and kind of washed out but on my photobucket you can see the colors. Rawr.

Anyhow, I used my Storm Palette I got from Nicola!

I'll be doing a review on that soon as well.

Also I'll list the names of the colors I used tomorrow.. I used 3 different colors, a shimmery white, a navy blue, and a black.

Let me also say that the black in this palette is so GOOD. I'm going to have to say it beats out my MAC Carbon thus far. I feel like the color is much more intense.

Oh & I didn't have time to do mascara in case you were wondering.

I also hope I get better at taking pictures of my eyes. It's hard!!!

1) Urban Outfitters

I have loved this store for many upon many years. When I went to school in New York there was one 2 blocks away and it was amazing and I lived in there. Anyhow, I had heard they were putting one in NJ near me and didn't think much of it & then last night I was bored and went in..... ahhhhhh. I fell back in love to say the least and it most def beats ordering online.

2) Finding my camera cord

Which means I can finally do the haul pics that I've wanted to do

3) Makeup Swap

Nicola and I did one and I'm uber excited for it to arrive!

4) Spring Break

GOD BLESS! I was SO in need of a break & now I'm going to lounge around and clean my room & spend mega time with my siblings & Zach :o)

1) Back 2 Mac

This is more of a neutral thing.. I love that they do this but it's a total pain in the butt that they don't accept eyeshadows without the pans. BUT I did receive the empty pans I purchased so let the fun begin :o) I have about 18 things that are going back so yes to 3 new things! But still... total pain about the pan thing.

2) My Diet

It has been an epic fail... so yeah.. I need to work that out for sure. I'm going to go the gym tonight so that's a start.

Progress on my depotting mission

So I went on ecrater.com today and ordered empty eyeshadow pans so that I can put them in my soon to be depotted MAC eyeshadow cases. I feel like it's ridiculous that MAC won't take it back without the pans. I didn't ask the store near me but I did ask the counter in the one mall near me and they said no.. the girl was a major jerkface though.. I'm hoping if I do end up bringing them somewhere else they won't notice. But yes, I bought some empty pans so I can at least get rid of some of the cases I have. I'm not sure when they'll be arriving but fingers crossed that it's soon!

Also, my camera charger is m.i.a. right now & that's why I haven't had any fotd or haul pics. I'm for sure done with shopping for a bit though as I have done so much of it this week. I'm hoping I'm not lying to myself but we'll see, haha. I really want to pick up Twinks & Starflash (I think that's the name of it) eyeshadows this week though so we shall see. I'll be uploading a review this weekend of a lip product I've been using, so look for that!
